The heroes of the future think back on some of their pasts as Colossal Boy remembers his origin and Gigi recalls days at the Science Police Academy and "The One That Got Away."

Science Police Officer Gigi Cusimano thinks back to her early days as a police cadet in the Science Police, when she used to date fellow cadet Gim Allon, the man who would become Colossal Boy. She thinks about how they broke up when Gim went on to join the Legion of Super-Heroes and how it was the right choice for both of them. Now, Gigi Cusimano decides she must turn down a date with Sun Boy, and possibly a relationship, so that she could accpet something more important to her: the ranking of chief.
